Titsey Brewing Co. get SIBA FSQ accreditation
When you buy beer from the Titsey Brewing Company you can be confident that you are dealing with professional brewers of quality beers, as our new SIBA FSQ accreditation will attest to.
The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) provides accreditation to truly independent brewers who abide by its methods of good brewing practices. We have recently been through a thorough application process and audit to give our customers confidence that they are drinking beer from the very best professional brewery. Having passed the audit with flying colours, it’s something we think is worth shouting about.
As SIBA members, we strive to preserve the traditional styles and methods of brewing whilst raising the profile of craft beer. Qualifying for this accreditation allows us to continue to brew with confidence using only the finest raw ingredients to bring you unique beers of exceptional quality across our core range and exciting seasonals.
What is SIBA’s Food Safety and Quality accreditation (FSQ) ?
It was created by SIBA to help differentiate between serious high-quality brewers and those simply brewing without any formal procedures in place. Partially influenced by multiple retailing groups demanding food safety and quality assurance from their suppliers and partially to keep standards high within SIBA membership, SIBA have sought to create a quality process that is rewarded with a Food Safety and Quality accreditation.
As SIBA are champions of quality, their scheme of standards comprises:
- HACCP
- Raw materials
- Brewing process and record keeping
- Packaging process and record keeping
- Cleaning regime
- Premises maintenance
- Testing procedures
It seemed entirely natural for Titsey Brewing Co to have an audit by SIBA to prove that we meet the criteria and which has become our personal benchmark to maintain that high standard for our brewing processes.
