Please read the following before arriving for the event. You will need to acknowledge you have read, understood and accepted the waiver below. If there is anything you do not understand then please ask for us to explain.

EVENT WAIVER

• I acknowledge that this is a cycle challenge which will take place on the public highways. As such I understand that I am governed by the laws of the countries you are cycling in and I am solely responsible for riding in a safe, competent and lawful manner.

• I agree to ride safely, signal my movements, be alert to my surroundings and other participants, road users and pedestrians.

• I acknowledge that it is not the function of the ride leaders and ride guides/volunteers/support team to serve as safety marshals for the challenge.

• I understand and agree that I am responsible for my own safety. I confirm that the bicycle I am riding for the event and all of the equipment (including helmet, lights & bell) is of a suitable standard and state of road worthiness.

• I acknowledge that I will not be under the influence of alcohol or any legal or non-legal substances that may impair my judgement or ability to cycle safely.

• I acknowledge that I am fully aware of the inherent risks connected with participation in this cycle challenge, whether specifically listed in this waiver, the T&Cs or not, and they voluntarily elect to participate in the challenge knowing that this participation involves these risks.

• I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to make a decision whether to ride the route or not. The route taken does not necessarily indicate that a road is rideable and the rider is deemed to make their own decision about whether to proceed on bike, foot or not at all.

• Any route provided is for guidance only and The Titsey Brewing Co does not insist that the route travelled is used. Therefore, if I choose to ride a section, it is entirely my own choice. If I choose a different route to avoid obstacles or sections I do so entirely at my own risk.

Beer’n’Ride Gravel Event Terms & Conditions
by Titsey Brewing Co Limited on 16 May 2026

  1. Agreement Between You and the Organiser

Your booking becomes confirmed once a confirmation email or ticket has been issued by Titsey Brewing Co Limited. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and any other participants included within your booking.

  1. Event Format, Rider Responsibilities & Conduct

Nature of the Event

Beer’n’Ride is a non-competitive recreational gravel cycling event and must not be treated as a race under any circumstances. Any published ride times or route information are provided for personal reference only.

Participants must not engage in racing, timed competition or unsafe riding against other riders during the event. Any rider considered by the organisers to be riding competitively or dangerously may be removed from the event without refund and may be refused entry to future events.

Rider Fitness & Equipment

By entering the event, you acknowledge that gravel cycling involves varying terrain, weather conditions and technical riding surfaces. It is your responsibility to ensure that:

  • you are medically and physically capable of completing the route entered;
  • your bicycle is roadworthy and suitable for off-road and gravel use;
  • your equipment, clothing and safety gear are appropriate for the conditions.

E-Bike Policy

Electric bicycles are permitted provided they comply fully with current UK legislation relating to Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs). E-bikes must:

  • be pedal-assisted;
  • have a maximum continuous motor output of 250 watts;
  • cease motor assistance at speeds above 15.5mph (25km/h).

Any vehicle falling outside these legal requirements is not permitted on the event. This includes modified or unrestricted electric bikes. Riders using non-compliant bikes may be excluded from the event immediately due to access, land use and insurance restrictions.

Safety Requirements

Approved cycling helmets must be worn by all riders at all times while participating in the event. Riders found cycling without a helmet may be removed from the event and will not be entitled to a refund.

Participants are expected to:

  • read all event communications issued before the event;
  • attend or review any rider briefing information provided;
  • follow signage, marshal instructions and safety notices throughout the event.

Gravel riding involves natural hazards including loose surfaces, uneven terrain, traffic, livestock, pedestrians and changing weather conditions. Riders participate entirely at their own risk and should ride carefully and responsibly at all times.

Route Information

Routes may be signed and/or supplied digitally. Riders choosing to deviate from the recommended route do so entirely at their own risk.

The organisers reserve the right to amend, shorten, reroute or cancel sections of the course at any time where necessary for reasons including weather, land access, safety, environmental conditions or operational requirements. Route alterations will not entitle participants to a refund.

Legal Compliance & Respect for Others

All riders must comply with:

  • the Highway Code;
  • local traffic regulations and bylaws;
  • any instructions issued by landowners, marshals or event staff.

Participants must show consideration to all other trail and road users including walkers, horse riders, runners, residents and motorists.

Littering is strictly prohibited. Riders are expected to respect the countryside and leave no trace. Any participant found deliberately discarding litter may be removed from the event.

  1. Minimum Age Requirements

Any rider under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the event. The accompanying adult accepts full responsibility for the minor participant at all times during the event.

  1. Event Transfers & Cancellation Policy

All entry fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

At the sole discretion of the organisers, entries may:

  • be transferred to another eligible participant; or
  • be transferred to another Titsey Brewing Co Limited cycling event taking place within the same calendar year.

No transfers or amendments will be permitted within 14 days of the event date.

Participation in the Beer’n’Ride event is entirely at the rider’s own risk. Riders are strongly encouraged to arrange suitable personal insurance cover, including public liability and accident cover where appropriate.

Titsey Brewing Co Limited does not provide personal accident, medical or equipment insurance for participants.

Participants are responsible for any loss, damage or injury caused by their actions during the event.
