Extra Special Birthday Ale is a 5.0% ESB, brewed to celebrate the 50th Birthday of the East & Mid Surrey CAMRA branch which was inaugurated at the Nutley Hall pub. As a nod to CAMRA heritage, the Nutley Hall pub is featured on the pump clip, although sadly it no longer exists. Titsey Brewing Co were honoured to be asked to brew this ESB for such a prestigious occasion.

This Extra Special Birthday Bitter is a perfect seasonal to satisfy your celebration tastebuds. The ESB style is known for its balance and the interplay between malt and hop bitterness. Jointly brewed by CAMRA and The Golden Ark this ESB displays earthy, herbal, hoppy character through the use of English Goldings and Bramling. The residual malt and defining sweetness of this richly flavoured and medium bodied beer come from the use of Maris Otter, Crystal and Amber malts.

Earthy on the nose with a mellow background, this birthday brew has a warming caramel malt flavour, perfect for those cold winter evenings. The Golding & Bramling hop additions add bitterness, yet this medium-bodied brew maintains an ample malt foundation on the way to a smooth, refreshing finish.

Look our for pubs serving this special birthday beer – you’ll be able to pick up a loyalty stamp card. 1 Pint = 1 Stamp / 8 x Stamps per Card. Pubs will also have a list of pubs where customers can get additional stamps from. With a completed card they will be able to visit our Titsey Brewery Taproom and get a free pint.
